ngNOG Meetings and Conference
The 2008 ngNOG Meetings and Conference will be held from 24 - 25 November at the University of Lagos, Lagos. Details about the halls to be used will be provided shortly.
ngNOG conferences on ICTs and Education provide a forum for the coordination and dissemination of technical information, best practices and policies related to networking technologies and operational practices. The meetings are informal, with an emphasis on relevance to current and future Nigerian backbone and consortium practices.
The conference is modeled after AfNOG conferences and the ICTs and Education Conferences that was initiated by the University of Jos in 2003. The meetings are also fashioned after AfNOG’s and consist of engineering staff from network service providers, managers from IT enterprises, policy makers, regulatory bodies, and senior members and administrators of the research and education community.
Presentations or panel discussions may range in length from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
The 2nd ngNOG Meeting held was hosted by the Bayero University, Kano on 23 - 24 November 2007.
