AfriNIC annonces it's LIR + IPv6 workshop which is being hosted by the Nigerian Internet Exchange Point with the collaboration of The Nigeria ICT Forum .

The workshop will take place in Nigeria as follows;

Lagos

Date: 28th - 30th September 2010

Abuja

Date: 04th - 06th 0ctober 2010

Venue: DBI (Digital Bridge Institute)

Participation in the training is FREE of charge and open to AfriNIC members and network operators in that priority as well as anyone interested in understanding the management of Internet number resources
and/or the operation of IPv6 networks.

Note that we will not bear any transportation and/or accommodation costs for the participants.

During this workshop,organisations will get help with their IP resource application process on site.

LIR and IP Resource Planning Scenarious
IPv6 from an IPv4 perspective: Similarities and important differences
IPv6 Business Readiness Planning [Open discussion]
IPv6 Transition Techniques [Concepts and Configuration Scenarios]
IPv6 Intra-domain routing with OSPFv3
At least 8 hours of hands-on practical configuration scenarios.

Target Audience & Prerequisites:
Network engineers and systems administrators who can set up and manage
an IPv4 network. Good knowledge of IPv4 networking and routing protocols
as well as ability to use the Cisco CLI are mandatory.
