Lagos Higher Education Connectivity Project
The Lagos Higher Education Connectivity Project (LHECP) is a multi-institutional project initiated by the University of Lagos in partnership with the Internet eXchange Point of Nigeria and Datasphir Solutions
It aims to co-ordinate and support network connectivity between the Mono/Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Universities and Research Institutes in the Lagos area
The LHECP aka Eko-Konnect has as it's objectives:
- To achieve good inter-operability between Research Organizations and Higher Education Institutions (HEI) networks that enable secure anytime, anywhere access by students, teachers and researchers
- Foster collaborative research in Network technology and facilitate the development of Internet resources, training, and networking amongst participating institutions.
